Senior Class of 2024 has just recently concluded painting their parking spots for the year! Starting on September 2nd and lasting until September 18th, students who met the criteria in order to participate in this beloved school tradition rallied in the athletic parking lot in order to paint their very own unique parking space.
Many students have met this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity with excitement to demonstrate their creative flair to fellow peers and faculty members alike.
Student Aliza De La Torre appreciates the time and effort invested by the school to provide students with such incredible memories. “I think it’s really nice that the school lets us do that,” De La Torre said. “It’s cool to see how students express their creativity.” Enthusiasm regarding the creative aspects present in this event is a common sentiment among participating students.
Hannah Cruz, a senior participant, values the artistic expression and inspirational atmosphere created by these events. “Everybody gets the chance to express what they feel and show their creative side,” Cruz said. “Watching seniors throughout the years inspired me.” Painting parking spots has been a highlight for many high school students during their 4-year stay, always motivating the following batches of students to participate their senior year.
Senior Alex Alcott is grateful that he was given the chance to be part of this school custom. “It’s a tradition I’ve always admired,” Alcott said. “I’d do it again.”
It is apparent that the TMHS students’ love for painting their parking spots is as strong as ever, and it is no surprise that this school tradition will endure for many years to come!
