Last week on Tuesday, August 13, the Wildcats stepped into the new school year. With so many opportunities to be excited about, every Wildcat has something to look forward to when it comes to school. The newcomers, the freshman class of 2028, have a lot to anticipate with their whole high school career ahead of them. For the seniors, the class of 2025, they get one last year to make great memories and decide the paths they want to go down after graduation.
Junior Grayson Smith is excited for the eventful school year to come and cannot wait to get back in the barn with animals. βIβm looking forward to when FFA goes to the state fair later this year,β Smith said.
For the returners, navigating the school is easier this year. βBeing a senior, it made it really simple knowing where to go, and I have easier classes,β senior Levi Fennel said.
Because of the large student body, the school offers a wide range of clubs to accommodate students’ interests. Students intend to take advantage of these opportunities as soon as they can. βIβm personally looking forward to joining a couple new clubs. Being so new to high school last year, I was too overwhelmed to actually join any. But now that I know what to expect, I can manage and enjoy more things offered at school,β sophomore Bhawyanjani Singh said.
As incoming freshmen enter high school, there is always a feeling of doubt about whether or not they will like the school because of all of the changes. βIt is not what I expected. It is way better than I thought. Love this school so far,β freshman Ellie Moehnke said.
The Wildcats are all looking forward to having the best year yet.
